The Biden Chronicle of Failure
President Joe Biden’s fiscal and foreign policy disasters are accumulating at a
rapid pace. Biden assured Americans that inflation is only temporary, yet the rate
now approaches 8%, the highest in 40 years. The next financial burden to befall
the American public was curtailing domestic energy production and replacing it
with foreign sources. This has proven to be extremely expensive for the all
Americans. Biden’s open border policy has attracted millions of illegal immigrants
of unknown backgrounds and motives through our southern border, with US
taxpayers footing the spiraling costs for relocation, healthcare, food, and housing
programs for these illegal immigrants.
However, Biden’s first major disaster was the withdrawal of American Troops
from Afghanistan. The US spent over $80 billion dollars on equipment sent to
Afghanistan over a twenty-year period. There was absolutely no withdrawal
plan for Biden’s hasty and incompetent withdrawal that left a very conservative
estimate of $10 billion dollars-worth of equipment behind to be used by the
Taliban enemy. Security was obviously lacking as 13 American soldiers and an
estimated 160 Afghans were killed by a suicide bomber during the withdrawal.
In addition, 45 US service members and over 200 Afghans were seriously
injured.
The Afghans were terrified to be left behind to live under Taliban rule.
Compelling images on television showed Afghans clinging desperately to aircraft
leaving the Kabul airport. Another consequence of the hasty withdrawal is that
several hundred American support personnel were left behind to fend for
themselves.
Biden’s leadership has been an unmitigated disaster and we need to remember
this when we vote this year so we can elect a Republican House and Senate to
help us survive the remaining years of this feckless administration.
