Selecting our Next Governor

On November 8, we will elect our next Pennsylvania Governor, and the candidates couldn’t be more different. Shall we elect Republican Doug Mastriano, a retired U.S. Army Colonel who served in Desert Storm and taught Leadership at the U.S. Army War College? He now serves in the Pennsylvania Senate. Or shall we select Democrat Josh Shapiro, the Liberal Attorney General? Where do they stand on important issues?

Energy. Mastriano will expand harvesting oil, gas and coal from PA’s abundant resources and opposes the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) that would make energy more expensive for PA consumers. Shapiro supports stifling PA’s energy resources, keeping RGGI, and further increasing energy costs. and inflation.

Crime.  Mastriano is pro-police and committed to enforcing laws.   Shapiro as Attorney General ignored the crime increase in major cities and supports sanctuary status and Biden’s stealth transfer of illegals to PA.

Election Integrity. Mastriano will ban the use of large private funds that influence elections and supports voter ID to make elections more secure. Shapiro would allow large private funds from outside of PA to influence PA elections and opposes voter ID.

Education. Mastriano would ban Critical Race Theory and grade school gender studies.  He supports school choice for those in unsafe and failing schools. Shapiro supports the Department of Education to continue teaching children such divisive concepts.
