Fair and Balanced?
For weeks, front page coverage of The Trib has focused on the horrific synagogue murder trial and on
Trump’s mishandling of classified documents leading to his indictment.
From day one, the Bowers trial had an obvious outcome which would require weeks, result in a guilty
verdict, and have him rot for years in prison regardless of whether he receives the death penalty. Recall
that Richard Poplawski remains jailed after receiving the death sentence for the 2009 murders of three
Pittsburgh policemen. The Trump document coverage seems never-ending, with each minor revelation
dutifully covered with a front-page story.
During this same time, increasingly detailed and concerning reports have emerged that our President
and his family were paid tens of millions of dollars by foreign interests for what clearly looks like
influence peddling. This is finally emerging after years of resistance and slow-rolling by the DOJ, FBI,
and IRS. The Trib has not reported any of this.
We have an election coming up next year. It seems only fair that The Trib quit ignoring the alleged
illegal exploits of the Biden family, which many of us view as much more serious than document
mishandling that has been a problem not only for Trump but also for Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Mike
Pence.
